Founded in 2019, the National Society Descendants of American Farmers is a non-profit, non-political organization for descendants of American farmers who were living within the present boundaries of the contiguous continental states of the United States of America between July 4, 1776 - July 4, 1914.  Whether you are currently a member of the NSDOAF, a prospective member, or you are trying to learn more about the Society, this website will hopefully give you the information you are seeking.  Please click on the links that are most relevant to you.

Membership is open to men, women, and children of ALL ages who are lineal descendants of a farmer living within the present boundaries of the United States between July 4, 1776 – July 4, 1914.

SCHOLARSHIPS

About this Scholarship: 

​

  • Scholarship is specific to higher education students majoring in an agricultural field of study.

  • Applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5

  • A written essay is required (topic will be given)

  • A personal interview may be required

  • Students may reapply each year that they are in school

  • Deadline to apply is June 1st and November 1st, annually

  • To identify and honor the memory of our ancestors who were farmers that were living within the present boundaries of the United States of America between July 4, 1776  - July 4, 1914

  • To collect and preserve records, documents, and relics pertaining to the history and genealogy of such “farmers”

  • To produce and distribute publications relating to the history and genealogy of such farmers

  • To encourage study and inspire an appreciation of the rural and country life led by our ancestors

  • To engage in related educational, historical, genealogical, patriotic, literary, and social activities.
